The short version

RiseMate works without a permanent account, does not sell your personal information, shows no third-party ads, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

01

Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how CodeApps (“RiseMate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the RiseMate mobile application and related support services. RiseMate is a sourdough planning, tracking, and fermentation guidance app.

This policy applies to the iOS and Android app. It does not replace the privacy policies of Apple, Google, Firebase, or RevenueCat when you use services they operate.

02

Data stored on your device

RiseMate is local-first. Your starter records, feeding history, recipes, bake plans, timers, dough observations, journal entries, preferences, notes, and locally selected photos are stored on your device first. You can use the core app without creating an account.

Local data leaves your device only when you choose a feature that requires it, such as account synchronization, data export, customer support, or a future online photo-analysis feature that is clearly presented before use.

03

Information we may collect

Account information

If you create or link an account, Firebase Authentication processes an account identifier and, depending on your chosen method, your email address and provider information from Apple, Google, or email sign-in. An account is optional for local use.

Baking content and photos

When cloud synchronization is available and you enable it, structured baking records can be associated with your account to support backup, restore, and multi-device use. In the current Spark-safe release, photos remain local and AI image upload is disabled.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes payment details. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information, an app user identifier, and limited device or app information to validate purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, and operate subscription analytics. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

Optional analytics and diagnostics

If you enable Analytics, Firebase Analytics receives approved event names and coarse technical properties about feature interactions. We exclude names, photos, notes, recipe text or quantities, schedules, image paths, imported content, and AI responses. Crash reporting may collect crash logs, device and app details, and technical stack traces to improve reliability. You can control Analytics and crash reporting separately in the app.

04

How we use information

  • Provide local features, accounts, backup, restore, and synchronization.
  • Validate purchases, restore Premium access, and manage entitlements.
  • Deliver timers, reminders, and the app experience you request.
  • Secure the service, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.
  • Diagnose crashes and understand feature performance when you allow it.
  • Respond to support, privacy, export, and deletion requests.
05

Service providers and disclosure

We use a limited set of service providers to operate RiseMate:

Firebase (Google)Authentication, private cloud records, configuration, app integrity, optional analytics, and crash reporting.

RevenueCatPurchase validation, Premium entitlement management, restores, and subscription analytics.

Apple and GoogleApp distribution, platform sign-in, payments, refunds, and subscription management.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

06

Photos and future AI analysis

Photos you add remain in app-managed local storage in the current release. If AI analysis or cloud photo backup is enabled in a future version, RiseMate will explain the transfer and retention policy before upload, compress the image, send it through a secured backend, validate the structured result, and delete analysis inputs according to the policy shown at the time.

Photos are never sent to Analytics. We will update this policy and the store privacy disclosures before enabling a materially different image practice.

07

Retention and security

Local records remain until you delete them, remove the app or its data, or use an in-app removal action. Account-backed records remain while your account is active and as needed for backup, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Purchase records may be retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their own policies and legal requirements.

We use access controls, Firebase Security Rules, platform protections, encryption in transit, App Check, and data minimization. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your device and account credentials protected.

08

Your choices and rights

  • Use core features as a guest without a permanent account.
  • Turn optional Analytics and crash reporting on or off in Settings → Privacy.
  • Grant or deny camera, photo, and notification permissions in device settings.
  • Export available account and local data from Account settings.
  • Sign out while choosing whether to keep or remove local data.
  • Delete your account and app-owned cloud records from Account settings.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise a right. We may need to verify your request.

09

Children and international use

RiseMate is intended for a general adult home-baking audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

10

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as RiseMate changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice in the app when a change is material.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to admin@codeapps.dev.
